La Tonina Overa  argentina (Cephalorhynchus commersonii), también llamada Delfín de Comerson o Delfín patagónico se caracteriza por su contraste de colores blanco y por ser muy atrevida a la hora de acercarse a embarcaciones.

También se las puede observar desde la costa porque una de sus técnicas es arrinconar a sus presas contra la costa, donde el agua es menos profunda y tienen menos escapatorias para poder cazarlas. Son carnívoros oportunistas pues han adaptado su alimentación a las presas disponibles en su entorno.

Pesan unos 40Kgs, siendo las hembras más grandes que los machos y llegando a medir hasta 1,5m. No hay datos suficientes sobre su estado de conservación, aunque se sugiere que están en declive. Un animal muy poco conocido y sorprendente.
